This dynamic workshop empowers children with the skills they need for emotional regulation, resilience & focus. Through fun, interactive activities, we blend Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) with mindfulness practices rooted in cognitive neuroscience.

Exploring Our
Inner Weather
Self-Awareness: Through a series of Neuro-somatic Mindfulness Practices, children learn to recognize and understand one's own emotions, thoughts, and behaviors.

Learning the skill of identifying and naming emotions in oneself and others.

Expansion Of Emotional Vocabulary

Complex Emotions: Learn to recognize and express complex emotions through an engaging and interactive game of Charades.

Benefits: Big emotions like frustration, embarrassment, or disappointment can feel overwhelming and hard to name. By acting out different feelings in a fun and safe environment, children will expand their emotional vocabulary and gain confidence in expressing themselves.

Neuro-Somatic Coping Strategies
Neuro-somatic coping techniques: Practices that connect the mind and body to regulate emotions, reduce stress, and build resilience. By engaging in sensory-based activities, movement, and breathwork, children will discover tools they can use anytime to feel safe, calm, and in control.

Bilateral Art Therapy
Expressing through Art:
children will explore bilateral art therapy, a creative process that involves using both hands simultaneously to create art.

Benefits: This therapeutic approach helps children release emotions, improve focus, and enhance emotional regulation. Through bilateral drawing and painting exercises, children will engage both hemispheres of their brain, promoting balance, emotional expression, and self-discovery.

Music for Self-expression
Exploring the Power of Music: Children will explore the therapeutic use of music as a tool for emotional regulation and self-expression.
Benefits: Music has the power to calm the mind, uplift the spirit, and help children process and release emotions in a fun, creative way. By engaging in music-based activities, children will experience how different sounds and rhythms can impact their emotions and help them feel grounded, calm, and joyful.

Self-Compassion & Acceptance
Self-compassion & Acceptance: Children will learn the essential skills of self-compassion and acceptance, helping them embrace their imperfections and treat themselves with kindness.
Benefits: Children often struggle with self-criticism, especially when they face challenges or make mistakes. By cultivating self-compassion, they can build resilience, self-worth, and a positive self-image. This session will introduce practices that encourage children to be gentle with themselves and accept all parts of who they are.

Our pedagogy involves hands-on, sensory-rich activities that support emotional self-regulation and brain-body integration, helping children process complex emotions in a safe, engaging environment. These neuro-somatic techniques promote emotional awareness, self-compassion, and empathy, allowing children to connect deeply with their own feelings and those of others.

Neuroscience
We integrate neuroscience and neuro-somatic practices into the workshop to create a truly interactive and engaging learning experience. By understanding how the brain and body work together, we use practices that connect the mind and body, such as breathwork, movement, sensory activities, and mindfulness. These practices are designed to help children regulate their emotions, improve focus, and develop emotional resilience.
